Blandford Railway Club was born out of an early project in conjunction with Blandford Museum to build an OO gauge working replica of Somerset and Dorset Joint railways Blandford Station. The operational layout remains to this day for all to see on the first floor of the Museum. A must-see it is a credit to the early club modellers, who produced an excellent scale model of this once busy station.

As the club quickly gained more enthusiastic members a new venue was required to house its needs. The Scout Hut, Eagle House Gardens, Blandford became the new headquarters and remains there to this day serving the club’s growing needs each Wednesday throughout the year.
